The Orzhov Syndicate

 

The Orzhov Syndicate is the religious organization/banking clan of Ravnica. 

 

Orzhov mages use white countermagic, life gain effects, and black necromancy to gain as much wealth and power as they can. 

 

The current Orzhov leader is a council of advisors called the Obzedat. They are a group of ghosts who maintained their consciousness after their death. However, they rarely speak to anyone outside the guild. Instead, they have elcted a Grand Envoy. That Grand Envoy speaks to people outside the guild. The current Grand Envoy is Teysa Karlov.

 

The current Orzhov guildhall is Orzhova, the Church of Deals. It is a blown-up cathedral with soaring arches and grand statues, designed to make anyone who comes in feel small and out-of-proportion.
