I just got the Khans of Tarkir box. Should I use a specific clan to build my deck?
Well, no. You shouldn't. Since these clans in Khans of Tarkir span 3 colors each, I would say no, especially since the amount of mana required would be almost doubled. Bottom line, I would say no.

Should I include an even amount of lands in decks, in order to split them evenly?
Well, not necessarily. I've used that strat before, but it only really works if you're building a deck that is equal parts each color. It wouldn't exactly work if you had, say, a burn deck and then you threw in a splash of white. A burn deck typically has about 22 lands, bu if you made 11 of them white, it wouldn't exactly be worth it.
Should I use a guild from Ravnica to build my deck?
Well, you can, but I don't really think so, bottom line. It would cause you to have trouble with using splashes(where you throw in a few cards from another color that fit your theme) and also, all of the guilds have a color in common(example: The Izzet League and the House Dimir both use blue, but are vastly different from, say, the Azorius Senate and the Simic Combine, which also use blue. So I would say no.

Can I create a deck with 3 colors?
Well, you might want to, but a phenomenon might occur where you will get manscrewed. Manascrewed is where you don't draw the right mana colors to play any spells, creatures, or even enchantments.
